About Us

The Shark Nett Gallery contains the world’s largest private collection of contemporary and traditional Maori Carvings.

Learn the fascinating stories and history told through the carvings from Rangitane iwi (tribe) in the Marlborough Sounds.

Enjoy a relaxed and accessible Maori art experience. This is a gallery. There are no rigid protocols!

Your hosts practise manaaki tanga - the spirit of  hospitality - to ensure the comfort of your experience.

Our Place

Enjoy the magnificent Pelorus Sounds with our panoramic views of the wildlife in the wetlands.

Join us on the estuary and enjoy picnicking, kayaking, high tide swimming and bird watching.

Relax in our peaceful environment and enjoy swans, herons, pukeko, ducks, kingfishers, shags and many other indigenous and exotic species.

Gallery Details

  • Tour the stunning Shark Nett Gallery at your own leisure between 10am and 4pm seven days a week.
  • Prices are $12 per adult, $10 per pensioner, $6.50 per child and children under five free. Gallery art guide available for sale.
  • Guided tours are available at 11am and 2pm each day. Private tours are available by booking or by prior arrangement with management.
